The amazing Ms. Keaton died today. I didn’t even know she was ill. What a person! I read a couple of her books and was very impressed by her insight and candor. Seeing her in “Annie Hall” in 1977 encouraged me to move to NYC in 1980.

Her acting was so good it didn’t seem like she was acting. And she was terrific in “Looking for Mr. Goodbar” as the schoolteacher with a dark side. And what can you say about her personal style but, “Wow! What a unique person who was really true to herself.”

When I got the news about her death today, I felt deeply sad. A sadness I rarely feel.

I never met you Ms. Keaton, but you had a powerful, positive affect on my life. Thank you.
